This month, in recognition of Cesarean Awareness Month, we’re honored to highlight the work of our client Ruth Fleury—a respected educator, dynamic speaker, and passionate advocate for maternal health—as she releases her powerful new book, Strength in Every Scar: A Mother’s C-section Journey.

This new release is both timely and deeply personal. Drawing on her own experience with an emergency C-section, Ruth sheds light on an often-overlooked part of the childbirth conversation. With clarity, compassion, and candor, she provides a vital resource for expectant mothers, healthcare professionals, and anyone seeking to better understand the complexity and beauty of Cesarean birth.

“Cesarean Awareness Month is essential,” Ruth shares. “When I was pregnant with my first child, I had no idea what it was. I only found out the day of my labor and delivery, when I unexpectedly needed an emergency C-section. Today, I aim to educate women who plan to get pregnant, new mothers, and first-time C-section candidates. Pregnancy and motherhood are beautiful and unique journeys for everyone.”
